Coaches for Volleyball Academy in Montgomery County are critical in delivering high-quality, fun, and developmentally appropriate volleyball experiences to youth athletes. As a Volleyball Coach and Site Lead, you’ll run weekly training sessions using our proven curriculum, foster a positive learning environment, and help players of all levels grow their skills and confidence. A coach will collaborate closely with the Area Director and Volleyball Academy Management to drive program growth and maintain high-excellence training.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • Either background in playing or coaching sports at the youth, high school, club, or collegiate level or..

  • Experience working with children or teens in a teaching, coaching, or mentorship setting.

Skills:

  • Ability to run structured, engaging training sessions using the provided curriculum.

  • Strong communication skills with both athletes and families.

  • Ability to follow guidance from the Area Director and work as part of a coaching team.

Coaching Leadership


  • Lead youth volleyball programs for athletes ages 5–14

  • Deliver sessions using Volleyball Academy curriculum

  • Mentor and support assistant coaches during sessions

  • Maintain high coaching standards and positive player engagement


Program Operations


  • Manage player check-in and attendance

  • Set up and break down volleyball nets and equipment

  • Ensure sessions run safely and on schedule

  • Answer basic parent questions during programs


Program Experience

  • Create a positive and organized environment for players and families

  • Represent Volleyball Academy professionally in the community

  • Support program quality and consistency across sessions


Schedule


Programs typically run:

  • Weekday afternoons and evenings

  • Occasional weekend sessions

Programs operate in two-month seasonal sessions throughout the year.
